Singaporean is world‘s fastest text messager
A Singaporean student broke the Guinness World Record for the shortest time needed to type a 160-character SMS message on Sunday after whizzing through the task in less than 42 seconds in a competition. 新加坡一名学生12日创造了新的发短信速度最快的吉尼斯世界纪录,只用了不到42秒的时间便将一条包含160个字符的短信输入到了自己的手机里。 Sixteen-year-old Ang Chuang Yang typed the SMS (short message service) message in 41.52 seconds, beating the previous record of 42.22 seconds set by American Ben Cook in July, according to Singapore Telecommunications, organisers of the competition. 现年16岁的Ang Chuang Yang完成全部输入过程所花费的时间为41.52秒,一举打破了由美国人本·库克在今年7月份创造的42.22秒的原世界纪录。 "I‘ll try for 39 seconds next year," said Ang, adding that the trick to speedy text messaging was to use a mobile phone with larger keys on the dial pad. 这名学生表示明年将尝试把此纪录缩短到39秒,同时还透露,提高发短信速度的秘诀就是使用那些按键相对较大的手机。 SMS messaging competitions around the world use the same SMS text provided by the Guinness organisation -- "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human." 目前世界上各种发短信比赛均使用由吉尼斯方面提供的同样内容——“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”(拥有锋利牙齿的Serrasalmus和Pygocentrus属水虎鱼,是世界上最凶猛的淡水鱼,但事实上它们很少攻击人类。) |
